The Competition has two divisions to allow for the changing voice quality of the different age groups. The Junior Division is comprised of middle school children from the 6th through the 8th grades. The Senior Division is comprised of grades 9, 10, 11 and 12. Division competition is exclusive.

Cash Prizes are awarded in three categories, Small Ensemble, Full Choir and Show Choir. The Judges recognize a grand prize, runner up and honorable mention for each category, in both divisions. Additional cash prizes are awarded thru the generosity of our sponsors.

The Rotary Music Award. Since 1995, the Rotary Club of Coral Gables has funded a special Music Award to encourage choirs to find new and unusual holiday music. Rotary provides a $500 cash prize for the winning school. The winning choirs perform their programs at the Rotary Holiday Luncheon. The Caroling Competition promotes wholesome activities for children and under the guidelines of Rotary International, supports youth mentoring, vocational training and violence abatement in the schools.

In addition to the 21 cash prizes, EVERY SCHOOL RECEIVES a BUS MONEY just for attending the Competition.
